Motorcycles
Prioritise frame identity and condition, steering head, forks, wheels, tyres, brakes, controls, fuel system, wiring and evidence of previous modification. Small assemblies can still carry safety-critical loads.
Utes and 4WDs
Check chassis and body mounts, load areas, suspension, steering, driveline, recovery points, previous towing or off-road damage and any lift, tyre or accessory changes that can affect compliance and handling.
Vans and work vehicles
Inspect roof and gutter corrosion, cargo floors, doors, cooling, wiring additions, previous fit-outs, load security and the parts needed to return the vehicle to reliable work. Treat business downtime as part of the budget.
One system, different evidence
Keep the same low, likely and high costs, parts register, dependency order and session notes. Change the photo checklist and specialist gates to match the actual vehicle and intended use.
Limits and safety
This is a planning map, not a vehicle inspection. Use qualified checks for roadworthiness, structure, braking, steering, restraints, loads and significant modifications.
